Dropshipping is dead! Don’t even bother starting a store!

You hear that all the time, right? Just a couple years ago, dropshipping was still this new thing that is going to make your financial freedom dream come true. Now, in 2020, you’ve officially missed the boat.

But is that really the case? Well, I mean, I see a lot of people getting into dropshipping, and most of them fail. That must means it’s not a working business model anymore. Right?

How about we take a closer look instead of jumping into premature conclusions?

Why do people think that dropshipping is not working anymore? The biggest reason that I heard is that people can go directly to Amazon or AliExpress to buy the product, so there’s no reason for them to buy from your dropshipping store.

That’s true, if we live in a world that everyone cares enough to research for the best deal before buying something. Maybe we’ll do a ton of research if we buy something super important or expensive, like your PC or your car.

Fortunately, that’s not our behavior when it comes to cheap, miscellaneous products on dropshipping stores. So that means dropshipping is still a functional business model?

Yes!

Besides, there’s one more reason: successful dropshipping stores are all run by really good marketers. They know how to spike the consumer’s emotions and make people buy on impulses. Add on the fact that most products in their store are not that expensive and we have a winning combination.

That’s why you see 99% of people try to set up a store, run some ads, don’t get sales and then whine that dropshipping is a scam.

So I guess what I’m trying to say is dropshipping can still make you money. But don’t expect it to be easy, as it’s not supposed to be.
