Hi, I didn’t take offense. I’m a pretty big guy, and I took note of the cop’s hand on his gun as he interacted with me last time for speeding. It occurred to me then I could die if I made a perceived wrong move. I’ve seen enough videos of what happens when they get set off to fear. I’ve seen small women on the ground getting tazed repeatedly for not “complying" during a traffic stop. That’s not to mention what we’ve seen lately. If we’re human, we can imagine ourselves there.

It disappoints me I had to personally relate to see. I’ve been seeing and not acknowledging for years. I felt the fear years back but was buying the reasons for them to militarize.

It will be this way in many cases though, and we’ll need to accept support however it comes. It’s not ideal, but some people will take time and patience to be able to see.
