The two numbers are not an apples to apples comparison. One is a number paid by the hour, and another is the amount paid per product sold. Clearly at low numbers of product, the increased price won’t cover the increased wages, but likely would at higher numbers.

This, by the way, is how pretty much all businesses work. At low numbers of product sold, no one makes any money.
