Hi,
There are two main reasons that I am naming this article “The Shameless First Attempt.”

  1. IT IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I AM ATTEMPTING TO POST ON MEDIUM

Today, I decided, is the day to overcome my fear of sounding unprofessional to people in general, especially to folks in the tech/design industry due to my less than fluent English.

I am writing to share my experience in trying to break into tech. My main struggle might have been not being an effective communicator, especially when telling stories of my design process. I increasingly realize that I need to practice writing by sharing my experience going through this transition.

2. I SUCCEEDED MY FIRST ATTEMPT FOR “DESIGNING MY EXPERIENCE IN BECOMING UX DESIGNER”

Today is February 15th, the day that marks the day before the last day of my UX Design Immersive course at General Assembly. I realized that now is the time to start taking bold actions and design my experience of getting a job I would love rather than waiting for recruiters to place me for a job.
An hour ago, I reached out to Navarre Joseph, the PRINCIPAL EXPERIENCE DESIGNER at EchoUser. He responded right away to meet me on Friday, February 17th. Even though it was embarrassing to find my grammar mistakes I made in my email, his response was solid and inspired me to write about the story.

I can’t wait to share more about what happens next and how my journey unfolds, as I keep designing the experience how I make it to my ideal user experience design role.

Thanks for reading :)

Best,

Tuvshuu
