I agree that buzzwords get misused alot and that makes me sad too. In a recent research project I just completed many of those questioned didn’t fully understand the meaning of the terms they used to describe the processes and practices they did every day :( To try to help clear some of this up and educate people on some commonly misused terms I also wrote a post about that helps product managers learn more.
One thing I noticed was that both you and I included other reading in our posts and I think that is one of the important parts here. Everyone needs to understand the fundamentals and origins of the way they work before they give what they do a name or buzzword. Reading and other education about how people work will help them understand the definitions and also help them decide how they can get better and improve.
