BERKELEY, CA — April 25, 2022 — Carbon transformation company Twelve announced today the appointment of chemicals and industrial gasses industry veteran Anne Roby to the company’s Board of Advisors. Roby brings nearly 30 years of experience from the chemicals industry leading global businesses and large sales organizations, and implementing new technologies for chemicals, aviation and electronics companies.

Roby most recently served as an Executive Vice President of Linde plc, a global multinational chemical engineering company, through Linde’s merger with Praxair, Inc., until her retirement in July 2020. Throughout her career with Praxair, Roby led teams responsible for global supply systems, R&D, global market development, digitalization, global operations excellence, global procurement, sustainability and safety, and health and environment. Earlier in her career, Roby served as head of Praxair’s business unit overseeing the growth of its hydrogen system and managing carbon monoxide supply to the chemicals market. Roby holds a Doctorate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University.

“I’m thrilled to bring my experience building successful long-term relationships with both buyers and suppliers in the chemical industry to the Twelve team as Independent Board Director,” said Roby. “ Twelve’s novel, modular carbon transformation technology creates a business incentive for a more elegant and sustainable solution to the climate crisis. I greatly look forward to working with Nicholas, Etosha, Kendra and the whole Twelve team as they commercialize this transformative climate technology.”

“We’re excited to welcome Anne as a valuable advisor as we launch the carbon transformation industry,” said Twelve Co-Founder and CEO Nicholas Flanders. “As a former chemical industry executive with deep expertise in many of our target sectors, Anne’s experience and mentorship will prove invaluable as we grow and establish new partnerships while building upon existing ones.”

“Anne’s past work implementing new technologies, from inception through realization, will support our work commercializing new disruptive technology to meeting the evolving needs of both consumers downstream and multinational corporations and brands upstream,” said Twelve co-Founder and CSO Dr. Etosha Cave.
