There are some footballers who perform better when relying only on their instincts. Given little time to think about what to do with the ball, they trust their subconscious to do the right thing and often times take our breath away by conjuring something brilliant.
However, when they dwell too long on the ball, they are less effective because they probably over think things and the results are less breathtaking.
I have no idea when and how it started but I’ve always worried too much about lot of things. The world we live in, it’s purpose, my place in it, becoming a better me, are some of the things that consistently nag at my consciousness.
This has made moving forward with alot of things a slow process that is bogged down by the obsession that nothing must go wrong and everything should be perfect. Really?Who am I kidding?
Some years back, I explained this nature of mine to a friend and was surprised to discover we were kindred spirits. It was such a relief for both of us that she suggested a name — team WeThinkTooMuch.

This piece opened with some sage words from M.I Abaga. I’ve carried it with me over the years and it has always been a source of comfort as I navigate this uncertainty called Life. I’m hoping it will continue to inspire me to do more and worry less.
It is true that to achieve greatness in any endeavour, one has to start from somewhere. Every business has an entry point, depending on ones abilities and resources. I have always wanted to express myself with written words but I’ve always wondered if I was good, witty or interesting enough to command people’s attention.
I guess I’ll find out soon.
