What I Read This Week

06/22/2014 — 06/28/2014

I read a lot.

And I mean a lot compared to the time spent conversing with people on call, text or in person.

And for sometime now, I have been thinking it would be nice if I could share a part of what I read, with you. It serves two purpose :

  1. It lets me recap what all things I read last week and,
  2. May be you might find something that’s useful to read for you too.

Will write more about this, and will try to keep this a weekly affair.

But for now, here are the most interesting/useful things I read this week :

Coming to a screen near you : Google organized their yearly developer conference this week and they had a lot to show in Android and Chrome. This blogpost gives a gist of all that.

How To Become A Writer : This short post gives an essence of creative process of becoming a writer. Being somewhere in the middle of this continuum, I agree. Contains pictures!

Self assurance checklist for the anxious traveler : Seth Godin gives a very detailed checklist of what to do while you travel. Intend to use it on my next trip.

The Drive (and Despair) of The Rock : I have seen and loved Rock since 90s. One of the very few guys who both inspires and amazes me everyday. This gives a short storyline of The Rock’s life.

10 REGRETS YOU CAN AVOID : James in his usual style gives a list of 10 regrets in life you (I) can avoid. This post seems to be aimed at the people in their 20s.

Love Work II : I love everything related to productivity. And this guy — Tynan is 100% about productivity. Here he gives an insight that if we don’t love our work day in and day out, including weekends, there might be some underlying problem that’s worth examining.
