I personally believe that Netflix survived in spite of its horrible culture. Its culture is pretend to pay a lot of money to its employees, but force them to pay for their benefits. From there, scare the shit out of them by saying that failure is not an option and that they are replaceable, while the CEO plays and doesn’t do anything productive.

I am truly amazed that Netflix managed to grow with such a punitive, intimidating environment.
