To The Girl Who Needs Work Out Motivation.

Everyone needs motivation to workout.
I know I sure do.
It’s a love-hate relationship for sure! I will find anything and everything to get out of a workout.
However, it’s absolutely necessary to take care of your body.
You don’t have to work out with the goal of a 6 pack or to be a size 0. Small goals are just as good!
Your body is a gift from God and you need to take care of it as such. Seriously, we get one body our whole life. It’s not like you can ask for a new one if you don’t like something about it.
How would you treat your cell phone if you knew you just got one to have your whole life? That’s how we need to treat our bodies.

This is what the Bible says about treating our bodies, “You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit that you received from God and that lives in you. You don’t own yourselves. For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:19–20.
God didn’t pay the ultimate sacrifice so that we could trash our bodies. That’s like getting everything you ever waned from somebody and immediately throwing it in the dumpster. It just shouldn’t happen.
Here are some tips I’ve put together to help you create attainable goals.
- Avoid take out. We can’t control what or how many ingredients restaurants put in their food. There are so many extra additives to help the food stay fresher longer and look better. It may be good for the looks, but not our body.
- Exercise during commercials. It’s not like you really sit there and enjoy watching them anyway. Alternate between push-ups, jumping jacks, or just walking around the room.
- DRINK MORE WATER. Set an alarm every so often to remind yourself to take a drink. There are also plenty of apps that help you remember and keep track of how much you drink.
- Get more steps in. Park at the farthest end of the parking lot when you go somewhere.
- Have a random dance party when you hear a song you love. Double the benefit- helps you move and puts you in a great mood!
- Don’t order desserts after your meal. Just don’t do it
- Walk around while you’re scrolling through social media on your phone. ( Be careful that you don’t walk into anything!)
- When you’re bored go on walk…outside- not to your pantry.
- Don’t get so consumed on the calorie count. Sometimes, calories aren’t the only thing you need to look at. Consider the carbs, sugars, and fat content.
- When you reach a goal don’t reward yourself with food. Instead, brag to your friends, buy a cute shirt, or just take a victory lap!
Bonus: Don’t workout to compare yourself to other girls. That will just discourage you. You are you, not them. Read my mistakes on comparing here.

Remember, it’s a process. It’s always too soon to give up!
One day you’ll get there and be tougher than ever before.
From one tough girl to another!
