We recently finished up the Thanksgiving get-togethers. If your an outspoken enthusiast for bitcoin, blockchain tech, etc. I’m sure you’ve received the sarcastic conversation starter, “So ummm…how’s bitcoin doin?”

Last Christmas we laughed in the faces of those who didn’t get into bitcoin and altcoins. Now they’re laughing at us this holiday season.

Don’t fret. I want to help you keep your shoulders high and your enthusiasm consistent when facing those doubtful family members and friends this Christmas.

Below are two pertinent topics that you should have responses to and discuss about in order to give off a cool, calm…

Well…it happened. Bitcoin dropped well below $4k, and now everyone is calling support at the $2,800 level.

I’ve spent more time on twitter this past week and a half than I have all year.

I see people sticking to their guns and sticking to BTC…but I also see many giving up. The matter of opinion seems to be rather black and white. You’re still “hodling” or you’ve let go and are saying no more.

You’re like Anthony Pompliano:

From humanity.science’s whitepaper

In 1948, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was established by the United Nations (U.N.). The declaration consists of 30 Articles, each proclaiming basic rights that should be proscribed to everyone. Article One states, “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.” We would live in quite the perfect world if every individual, company, and country adhered to this declaration. However, the U.N. doesn’t have authoritative control of such entities. Therefore, the U.N. can’t enforce these rights. …

I recently published this post on Medium as a follow up to my “Stop Writing About Cryptocurrencies” piece:

I explain that blockchain is viewed as an “under-the-hood” type of technology. Meaning, no one quite cares how a blockchain works as long as it functions the way it should. Blockchain isn’t an upfront technology. It has no pretty face to market due to the fact it’s completely digital.

Turning things into a small series about the proper way to market and popularize blockchain, this post is another follow up.

There are multiple key components of the blockchain industry which could add…

A blockchain is viewed as an “under-the-hood” type of technology. Meaning, nobody cares much about how it works and what it’s about as long as it gets the job done.

A blockchain to a dApp is like an engine to a car

The easy analogy to make here is that a blockchain is equivalent to an engine, while decentralized applications (dApps) are equivalent to a car’s body and interior. Leather seats, a touch screen display, and the sleek aerodynamic body are some luxury characteristics that grab the attention of a buyer. Meaningless though if the car can’t run.

These characteristics are important nonetheless because not only are they selling points for a…

The cryptocurrency pump we all witnessed from December into January was an enjoyable one. I hope you took some profits, and I hope you didn’t get burned.

Ensuing the appreciated Christmas gift was a hard crash, then a bear market, and now…still a bear market. This whole year so far has been me trying not to think back to the good ‘ole prices. With effort, I’ve been able to hang on to the attitude of “shoulda, coulda, woulda: but didn’t. So, let’s move on.”

In hindsight, I actually wish the skyrocketing prices never took place.

That’s because during the hype…

It’s a popular trend of today’s time: being an activist. Whether it be a social, environmental or political one, everyone and their best friend is an “activist” of some sort. Don’t get me wrong, I want you to care about certain circumstances, events, and issues existing outside the family/friend circle. Whichever direction your heart turns towards most, you should follow.

HOWEVER, you shouldn’t let your heart take you into the boundaries of anxiety.

There are real social concerns in the world, political turmoils we need to discuss, and other pressing affairs facing our society. If you truly feel a call…

Introduced to the U.S. Congress on September 26th was a bill titled H.R.6913 — Blockchain Promotion Act of 2018. This legislation aims “to direct the Secretary of Commerce to establish a working group to recommend to Congress a definition of blockchain technology, and for other purposes.”

The ever-expanding benefits of blockchain technology is becoming more aware to those in the government. It’s exciting to know that their are individuals in Congress, like Representatives Doris Matsui and Brett Guthrie who proposed the bill, willing to embrace and leverage blockchain technology.

An agreed upon definition of “blockchain” is essential because it will…

It’s funny how almost every ad you see on YouTube these days is about some person trying to sell their online course, or telling you how easy it is to make money from Shopify or Amazon FBA. Tai Lopez, Tanner J Fox, Hayden Bowles, Alex Becker, etc. I don’t have anything against these guys. They’re clearly making money from what they’re doing. I think the problem arises when folks with a large social media following try and sell the idea of “you too can make money online by just following these easy steps!” to the younger generation.

Zeno of Citium

The dude on the left is Zeno of Citium, from the times of Ancient Greece. He’s known as the founder of stoicism, and without getting too philosophical here, it’s simply a straight-forward school of thought that embraces the “don’t let emotions rule over you” attitude. To be honest, there isn’t much room to get too philosophical on this subject because it wasn’t meant to be complicated and debatable. Making it one reason why I’m an enthusiast of Stoicism. Another reason is because I believe the world needs more of it.
