The Future of Security: A Roundtable

I believe that people are still are biggest vulnerability today yet we don’t teach security enough to our most vulnerable populations; younger children (tweens) and our aging baby boomers. Kids are taught to basically trust almost anything online and don’t think much about downloading programs to play the latest game or listen to the latest album. This reason alone, I have my kids computers set up in their own DMZ! But my parents fall into the same category and it’s more scary for them as they couldn’t recover from a financial disaster on a fixed income. I take precautions with them as well but how many people are out there who are technically “challenged” or “newbies” without someone looking out for them?
