Over the last few years I’ve developed an enormous amount of interest in space and in trying to soak up at least a fraction of the knowledge that currently exists. And two thoughts consistently crop up in my head. The first one is of an utter insignificance of us in the vast scale of the universe and my inability to even fully comprehend things given the scale. The second thought is that despite our insignificance, we’ve come to ponder these things and have discovered so much about it. That excites me. I cannot wait to find out what more we’ll continue to do in our quest to decode this mysterious soup in which we are just a speck on a dust on a pimple on a dimple.

During a conversation some time back, my wife remarked something which resonated so well, “If every kid is taught the vastness of space and the astounding workings of the universe, there may perhaps be no terrorism or other wars. Our petty squabbles will look puerile”
