Substack is great for finding interesting content about anything you like.

Do you agree?

I’m sure you do.

Lots of stuff there related to many different subjects…

Definition of what is a Substack
What is a Substack

You know how it works.

So let’s get straight to the point.

There must be some good Forex traders there who share VERY valuable stuff on there, right?

Yes, obviously.

There are.

Substack is a great place to find newsletters about trading.

But of course…

There’s a fine distinction between the ones that just share random useless fluff.

And the ones that share super high quality insights.

So…

Curious to know who the valuable ones are?

Alright.

Let me show you…

Best Substacks about Forex trading to follow:

I could list a dozen random newsletters to follow.

But no.

I want to make this highly targeted to the VERY best ones.

Sounds like a good idea?

Great.

These are the best:

  1. BeSomebodyFX
  2. FXMacro
  3. Daily Chartbook

But wait.

I don’t like to just give you random recommendations without telling the exact reasons why they are worth a follow.

So let’s get into more details.

BeSomebodyFX:

BeSomebodyFX on Substack
BeSomebodyFX

What do you know about fundamental analysis in Forex trading?

Well.

Whatever you know about this trading style, I can tell you…

The BeSomebodyFX Substack is the best at that.

You can find educational articles.

To also more indepth and thoughtful trading discussions.

It’s high quality.

It’s consistent.

And it’s professional.

That’s why it’s also one of the best websites for Forex fundamentals.

In other words…

It’s all the things that you should want to follow.

And yes.

We are going to discuss these important traits and why they are so important in more detail later in the article.

But before we do that, let’s see the next one…

FXMacro:

FXMacro about page on Substack
FXMacro about page

This has a lot in it.

Each and every single market update contains many different market insights that you can find useful for your trading.

For instance…

Do you want to keep track of central banks’ comments?

He has that.

Or, do you need to know the implied volatility of various currency pairs?

He has that too.

In other words…

Most of the things you would need to complement your own research, you can find with.

FXMacro has all that.

Good stuff.

Daily Chartbook:

Another additional recommendation to follow
Daily Chartbook

This is the place to get VERY interesting market insights.

They share charts and data from highly professional institutions.

You can see some examples above.

And I know.

This is NOT specific to Forex trading.

The other two mentioned earlier are more targeted to that.

But nonetheless…

It’s still VERY much worth keeping an eye on.

Alright…

Now that you know the best ones.

Let me show you how you can also find other valuable newsletters.

How?

Here it is…

How to recognize the best Substacks to follow:

I know.

There are a lot of publications out there that are just completely useless.

Literally.

Some of them are too technical, too basic, or too boring.

Or some of them are spammy, inaccurate, or biased.

You name it.

The ones recommended above are some of the best ones that you can follow.

But what about you want to find some other good newsletters by yourself?

What do you need to keep in mind?

Well…

Let’s look at a couple of factors that make a Substack worth following:

  1. The quality and originality of the content.
  2. The professionalism of the authors.
  3. The consistency of the content.

Sounds logical, right?

It is.

But it’s not that obvious.

Let me get into the details…

The quality of the content:

Simply, look at the articles.

And notice how well they are written, researched, edited, and formatted.

Also…

Is the content original?

Or it just looks copied from somewhere else?

Simple questions that allow you to quickly filter out some of the useless ones.

Simple and straightforward, right?

It is.

The professionalism of the authors:

Again, it’s another simple but important point.

  1. Who’s actually writing the articles?
  2. Can you follow the trader somewhere else other than just on Substack?
  3. And, can you interact with the author?

So always look for some kind of reference, so to speak.

Things like the various socials to follow:

Follow traders on multiple platforms
Follow the traders across various socials

Or an official website too.

And so on and so forth.

In other words…

You don’t want to follow a publication that has nothing behind it.

I mean, you should want to know that you are following a legit trader and a legit source of reliable content.

A good Substack newsletter is written by someone who has the experience to provide credible information.

Not any random trader.

The consistency of the content:

Consistency is another important factor that makes a newsletter worth following.

A good one provides regular and reliable content.

For instance, every week.

Or even every day.

You want that consistency of content, obviously.

It’s not super essential, because quality is better than quantity.

But still.

It’s an important aspect.

Now, with this also said.

Let’s get to the next overlooked but important point…

How to use Substack effectively:

When you use the platform usually it looks like this:

The explore page on Substack
Substack explore page

Right?

Yes.

So the first thing to do is to make sure that you subscribe to the authors that you like:

Subscribe to the authors to be notified when a new post is published
Subscribe to the authors

Why is that important?

Well, it’s important because that way you can get alerted when they publish something new.

This way you can always stay on top of the new articles.

Yes, that’s important.

But there’s WAY more to it.

For instance:

  1. Interact with authors with comments.
  2. Follow the trader in other socials too.
  3. Research what you don’t understand.

That’s the bigger picture.

Now let’s go specific…

Interact with the authors by commenting on their articles:

This is one of the best parts of the platform.

Because you can engage with the authors in a very straightforward way.

How?

In the comments section:

Comment section on Substack to engage and add value
Comment section to engage with the authors

So there you can do multiple things:

  1. You can ask questions.
  2. Share your opinions.
  3. And engage with others who share your interests.

That’s good stuff.

Follow the trader in other socials too:

Most authors on the platform have other places where you can follow their insights and trade ideas.

Often that’s a Twitter account.

Or a Telegram channel, where you can find more content:

Multiple platforms where to follow traders
Multiple platforms to follow the traders you like

The point is…

When you like a trader, make sure you follow him across all socials.

Not just one.

This way you can keep an eye on all of their trading thoughts that can be useful to you.

Research what you don’t understand:

One of the best ways to use the platform is from an educational point of view.

So how do you do that?

By researching what you don’t understand.

In trading there are many terms, indicators, and strategies.

So if you come across something that you don’t understand, don’t ignore it or skip it.

Instead, try to learn more about it.

You can use Substack itself as a source of information, by searching for other newsletters that cover the same topic, or by asking questions to the author.

Or you can do the research on your own too.

How?

Well it’s simple.

The good old Google…

For instance:

Google search about interest rates
Google search about interest rates and their influence on Forex trading

Nothing new, right?

I know.

Now let’s go further into it…

Alternative platforms to Substack:

Is there any other similar alternative?

Well…

You are reading on an alternative platform for it.

And a REALLY good one too.

Medium is also a great platform to follow Forex traders
Medium

Of course.

This place is fantastic for authors to write about their thoughts and trading insights.

You can find many traders here too.

And yes.

You can use both.

So you can use Substack and Medium at the same time.

You can follow the traders you like on both platforms.

That’s kinda obvious, isn’t it?

I know.

And these are the best newsletters to follow for Forex trading:

Perfect.

You now know the very best traders on Substack to get some high quality trading insights.

These have all you need, like:

  1. Educational content.
  2. Reliable trade ideas, or Forex signals.
  3. Useful market commentary.

But not just that…

Because they are also extremely useful to:

  1. Learn how to trade professionally.
  2. Stay on top of the market.
  3. Improve your trading skills.

That’s perfect.

Right?

It is.

So, what do you have to do now?

Now you can take action and follow the ones that suit you best.
