An Inconvenient Truth

This is a beautiful and heartfelt testimony of what it is like to experience life, love, loss, and alcohol dependency. Like yourself, I struggled for some time with addiction. Alcohol was an easy way to escape the reality that was my unpleasant life some years ago. I understand the feeling of resentment towards those who seemed to be the pillars that held your addiction and habits over your head. What I appreciate most about your testimony, is the paragraph in which you addressed addiction and mental disorders. It is so true that both of these must be addressed in order to be freed of an addiction. These factors do go hand in hand, and lead to an endless circle until both are recognized. Thank you for your words.
