Quality Versus Select Few — Running a Start Up
I might be a bit new at this sort of thing, since I have yet to do this offically. But from viewing other people while they create start ups, roll them out and have them either explode or parish, I have began to make notes and reflect on their way of doing things. It usually all ends in one simple tag line: Quality Versus Select Few.
No matter how you look at the market, there is usually two types of thing, a service that does a bunch of things or a select few things that they do best. As a start up founder you have to decide which kind of start ups and realize that you may not have the funds to do all, so do a select few and maybe down the road offer more to your customer based. But you don’t add the windows to a car if you don’t even have the frame built yet.
If you want to do all, and succeed more power to you, but please, oh please make sure you know your limits before commiting.
