I agree with you. (And maybe they’ll hire you if you keep writing analysis of the actual game, they need it)
I’m not sure I see a way the Cavs can win this series. OKC had a real path to beating them because of strategic advantages everyone has already hit on. If they do better about moving the ball, and staying disciplined, OKC would be in the finals. I think OKC got tight and reverted back to old habits. Fast, long defenders who can smoother the smaller GS players and gain rebounding advantages were the key. (I can’t wait to read more of what Zach Lowe has to say about it) But the Cavs dont’ have that. In particular they don’t have an Ibaka rim protector or a Roberson/Durrant to set up on the perimeter.
If I’m Lue, I have to recognize I am a huge underdog and roll the dice with less than optimal strategies. Continue to smoother the primary threats, green light the three, and ask Kyrie to step up on defense.
Obviously they should try to gain a rebounding advantage, but this isn’t OKC.
