Boom! I showed him what’s up-NOT! That was a very short excerpt of a long-winded, completely frivolous, written dialogue I had on Facebook Messenger. I must say, Messenger really brings out the enmity of people separated by hundreds of miles of road and differing ideals. It’s practically begging for strangers to get into school yard name calling matches like this one. This particular person was a former boss of mine. I never had any problems with him until he started spewing his culled hatred of specific groups (Muslims, LGBT, etc.) all over my timeline and baited me into calling him out. He obviously did not take kindly to LGBT people living their lives, harming no one and used FB as his mountain top pulpit. Rightly so. Who am I to tell him he’s wrong? It’s my right to not associate with degenerates. It’s his First Amendment right to say what he believes; no matter how offensive or oddly obsessed he was about assuming my sexuality. (Btw, calling me “fag” is hardly offensive. I prefer to not be called anything except my name, however, I much rather be called a “fag” than “hater”)The First Amendment doesn’t grant indemnity. He will be- and is-judged for his bigotry in the court of public opinion.
If you feel like you’re very existence is in jeopardy because LGBT have the same legal rights afforded you by the Gov’t- wait, let me rephrase that. If you feel like you’re very existence is in jeopardy because one non-violent human being part of a discriminated minority of fellow non-violent human beings trying to achieve non-violent equality with a hostile majority, then I feel sorry for you son.
I got 99 problems and hating ain’t one.
You know why I don’t hate on LGBT? They’re fellow human beings. The fact that we group them into LGBT is pretty sad to me. Are you gay or straight? Is that even a relevant question? Do you like broccoli or spinach? Who cares? It’s none of your f***ing business! I personally could not care less about someones preference or what they do in the privacy of their home. You want to hear my (completely unscientific) reason racism and other prejudices exist? Because we, falsely, view different skin colors and sexual preferences as offensive to our moral fiber. A decay of society. War! We group them (Muslims) into subgroups (Al-qaeda) to better distinguish our detestation. Black, white. American, non-’Merican. Gay, straight. The only group you should be fighting for is Humanity. For all the “righteous” killing, deceit and warfare being waged daily, telling two people they can’t love each other and be afforded the same rights as the majority because “the Bible says so” is insufficient to me.
The moment people received tax benefits for marriage is the moment it became unconstitutional to block same sex marriage. Marriage is not a religious institution, not anymore at least. It is regulated by the government; hardly a religious institution, no matter the fervor of its devotees. Every human being is to be treated equally under American Law, not to mention, moral law. If this upsets you, please for the love of love, go see a therapist and figure out why you harbor such pointed ill will.
Procreation is strictly male/female (and sometimes a petri dish). Love is universal.
Feel free to never talk to me again if I’ve offended you. The chances of me being your friend are pretty slim if I know you are against equality…er I mean Humanity.
