I definitely think that’s the best attitude and posture to have towards prayer, but I also think we have to be careful to not cease in our asking. Crossing our arms and insisting on a certain outcome isn’t evidence of spiritual maturity, but I would argue that consistent expectancy in things related to God’s revealed will is — it’s also something I’m finding to be a consistent struggle ;)
