Poetry, not pretentiousness

Poets can come across as pretentious, it’s not pretentiousness,
it’s that we’ve forgotten how to write or speak in a way that’s not poetic.
— —

Poetry,
boldly forward going
into the eyes of the reader.

Hubris
in thinking
we could change
and charge minds.

Pretentiousness be damned.

Within Echoes,
Fire forged within us,
the Dreams of Truth
are scattered
out into the Universe
to be picked up
or discarded,
c’est la vie.
 — —

Does genesis stem
from the early light of dawn
or dusky moonlight?
