Sweat and Toil App Wins The 2016 Secretary’s Innovation Award
On 30th September, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (USDOL ILAB) released its 14th edition of the annual Findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labor. To bring child labour and forced labour issues into the digital age, the USDOL ILAB also released a new smartphone app, Sweat & Toil, to give consumers information from USDOL ILAB reports on global child labor isssues.

On Thursday, May 5th, 2016 at 10am in the Great Hall at the Department of Labor, the Sweat & Toil app will be honored with the Innovation Award at the 2016 Secretary’s Honor Awards ceremony.
The Honor Awards represent the highest level of recognition for departmental employees whose accomplishments demonstrate excellence in serving the public, and we are deeply grateful for your contribution.
It was an honor to work with the amazing team of Tina Faulkner, Charita Castro, Chanda Uluca, Xavier Hughes and E.J. Kalafarski to make this app come to life.
