1. Get Dai: Create an account with a trustworthy entity where you can convert normal fiat money into cryptocurrency. For most of the world, you can use Coinbase. Create an account, deposit some money and buy some Dai and Ether. (Tip: Deposit something small, like $7, so you can experiment freely)

2. Get a Wallet: Download the Metamask Ethereum wallet chrome extension (there are other options, Coinbase being one, but this is the one I use so I’ll stick to it here)

3. Load your wallet: Send your Dai and Ether from your Coinbase account to your Metamask wallet

4. Interact with DeFi! There are many DeFi projects out there with the most active listed on Defi Pulse. Some are a lot more user friendly than others. I found Pool Together to be pretty easy to use and very easy to understand: Go to the site, click on the “app” button at the top right of the screen. Then click on the “Connect Wallet” and “MetaMask” button. Your MetaMask extension will pop open and you will need to log-in.

There will be small gaps in the above, so please feel free to post questions in the comments section and I will help out. Alternatively, the various sites I mention above have excellent user guides and support which should get you there.

Welcome, dear crypto zombie, welcome to the future!
