In this video, I’ll be reviewing the SteelSeries Rival 3 Gaming Mouse. If you’re in the market for a new mouse for gaming, this one is definitely worth checking out.

Intro

This video is part two in a series of gaming gear reviews for Fortnite dads just like you. I’ll be going over all of the key features of the Rival 3, as well as its pros and cons, to help you decide if it’s the right mouse for you. So if you’re interested in learning more about the Rival 3, make sure to stick around until the end of the video. Without further ado, let’s get started.

Pros

First, let’s start with the pros. The Rival 3 is made with hyper durable materials, specifically high-grade polymer, which makes it very sturdy and long-lasting. The 60 million click mechanical switches also add to its durability, as they are designed to feel crisp from the first click to the last.

In terms of comfort, the Rival 3 does not disappoint. It is ergonomically designed to provide comfort for long gaming sessions, and the lightweight materials used in its construction make it easy to use for extended periods of time.

Now let’s talk about performance. The TrueMove Core optical gaming sensor on the Rival 3 is top-notch, offering true 1-to-1 tracking with a high CPI and IPS. Plus, the on-board memory allows you to save custom settings like polling rate, keybinds, and CPI directly on the mouse, which is a convenient feature. The sensor itself has impressive specifications, with a high CPI, IPS, and acceleration, as well as a 1000Hz polling rate and no hardware acceleration.

Other notable features of the Rival 3 include its RGB lighting, which has 3 independently controlled zones and can display 16.8 million colors, and its sleek and stylish design. It is also worth mentioning that the Rival 3 is lightweight, weighing in at just 77g, and has a rubber cable that is 1.8m long.

Cons

Now for the cons. One potential downside of the Rival 3 is that it may not be suitable for those with larger hands, as it has a relatively small size. Additionally, some users may not prefer the ergonomic design, as it is specifically tailored for a claw or fingertip grip.

Should you buy (product)?

Overall, the SteelSeries Rival 3 Gaming Mouse is a solid choice for gamers looking for a durable, comfortable, and high-performing input device. Its strong construction, comfortable design, and top-tier sensor make it a reliable choice for both casual and competitive gaming. However, it may not be the best fit for those with larger hands or those who prefer a different grip style.
