your cloud = my server
You may not realize it, but your “cloud”, is my server. The worst part is, you probably don’t even know me!
Okay, maybe not literally.
So next time Dropbox, Google Drive, or iCloud asks you to put your pictures into their “cloud” — ask yourself: “am I okay with John at XYZ company looking through my pictures?”.
I’m not saying John is looking through your pictures, but you need to understand the data is out of your control.
Tax, legal, financial documents, and personal photos, all of these are good examples of files that you should really think hard about where you store them.
You may decide the benefit is worth the risk, at least you made the decision.
