Similarly, in the photo, I generally despise one and adore the other. Yet what should count in moments of despair or conflict is seeing the good in people — not incessantly focusing on our difference.

We can’t define who we are by that which we aren’t.

We’re on track for the heated dialog across this country to get much worse. It’s time for a little more understanding of people who don’t look like us, think like us or vote like us.
