It’s time for something a little different…

Much like our Junior Common Room, the UC Lit website has finally gotten a much needed facelift. It’s faster, sleeker, and much easier to navigate to find whatever information you may be looking for. To kick off the new site (and this blog) we wanted to highlight some of the new and revamped features you can look forward to.

The Front Page
Gone are the days of the revolving carousel with the same four images rotating back and forth for months. We’ve opted to replace it with a nice static image instead. Just below it is one of the most anticipated additions to the website — a simple five-day calendar that highlights all the events happening around the college that you can look forward to that week.

The Council Page
You may know what the UC Lit is, but do you know who it is? We wanted to make it easier to put a face to the name of all our commissioners and council reps, so that you can say hi to them whenever you see them hanging around events or the office. Just below their name and position are their individual email addresses — just in case you ever needed to get in touch with one of them!

A Proper Spiritwear Page
Ever wondered where you could get that new crewneck everyone around the college has been wearing? While our spiritwear can only be purchased in the Lit office (mon-fri, 10am-4pm, cash/credit/debit), you can now view the entire selection of items on the website.

Aside from these major changes, we’ve also made it easier to access everything from council documents (policies, budgets, and minutes from Lit meetings), to information about how to rent the JCR, commissions, and more.

We’ve also made the decision to move the blog feature offsite to Medium, to provide a simpler and more accessible platform to bring you everything from information about job postings and opportunities to get involved, updates about the Lit’s activities, and content written by various members of our community. We hope you’ll tune in with us as we keep you up to date with what’s happening here at the UC Lit.
