I disagree with this point and the preceding paragraph. There’s near-ZERO correlation between the number of years (not all degrees are 4years — add NG strike and carryovers) spent pursuing a degree and longevity in a firm.
NO EMPLOYER — NONE will keep a staff on their payroll just because they spent 10 years getting a BSc in Longevity.
The staying power of an individual in a firm is proportional to the kind of VALUE they bring to the firm and kind of PERSONAL GROWTH the said individual has experience during their stay in the company.
