You certainly make some good points and it is indeed important for Americans to be knowledgeable about their country’s foreign policies and the horrific aftermath of wars and bombings. On the other hand, you fail to address several issues:
- Muslims have been massacring other Muslims (and “infidels”) for over 1400 years, way before there was a United States of America or a modern-day Israel.
- Islam today is comparable to Christianity during the Dark Ages. To state that Islam has little to do with all the crap that is going on is to bury ones’ head in the sand. We see it in most Islamic countries and we see it in Europe, with Muslim minorities.
- Islam is based on conquest. There is ample footage of Imams calling for Islamic world domination and bragging that this will happen “thanks” to the high birth rates of Muslims in Western countries that have taken in so many Muslim immigrants. There is footage of Imams in mosques in Europe — preaching hatred to the West and of course Sharia. There were protests where Muslims held ISIS flags and signs calling for the Islamization of their host country. If this isn’t reason enough to fear continued immigration from Muslim states than maybe the fact that huge percentages of Muslims believe in Sharia and view Sharia as above state laws is. The fact that women and gays for instance (in what used to be the Liberal left) don’t realize just how idiotic they are for supporting continued immigration from predominantly Sharia practicing countries — is beyond my comprehension. ‘Gays for Palestine’ lol! Go be openly gay IN Palestine and good luck to you.
- It isn’t just about security issues and fear of terrorism (although I will state the obvious — almost all terrorist attacks in the world are committed by Muslims). Has Denmark bombed Iraq? No, someone drew a stupid cartoon of Muhammad, that’s all. We saw what happened in France as a result of this same ‘crime’. But again, it is not just terrorism — it is about the way Muslims behave. I never hear of Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish or other minorities in Europe causing mayhem. Muslims are the ones causing so much trouble, including rape gangs, violent protests, burning cars, etc. and constantly expecting special privileges.
- There are 50 majority Muslim countries. If they are so great — why do so many Muslims want to emigrate to the West? How many of these allow minorities to flourish in their countries? Can Israelis even visit these countries? Of course not but no one seems to think this is preposterous (they are too busy bashing Trump).
- You stated that Israel has done an exemplary job turning a solvable, straightforward fight over land into a religious war that may no longer have any solution. This is so one-sided. It is the Palestinians (not just Hamas) which constantly claim they will never accept Israel as a Jewish homeland and Mahmoud Abbas that claimed not a single Israeli will be allowed to live in the future Palestinian state. Hamas’ charter calls for the destruction of Israel and the killing of Jews. Millions in the Muslim world view Israel as a cancer in the heart of their precious Islamic empire. The yellow badge wasn’t a Nazi invention — Jews and other non-Muslims (dhimmi’s) were forced to wear it in Islamic countries as early as the 8th century. Israel is a predominantly modern secular Democracy — her neighbors are very much Sharia practicing countries.
