A man walking in the woods, looking for hunt, looking for a deer. A professional hunter with handgun. For 2 hours he went straight without caring about sign, any signs, the signs cautioned; beware of dire wolf, don't walk alone. But he isn't new at it, he has done it plenty times.
After a while he exhausted and decided to go back, empty hands, his heart wasn't allowing it. It was first time for him, he turned around and saw a wolf, a dire wolf standing right in front of him.
He didn't moved, he knew if he do anything, any move without thinking that might be his last move, he thought about the advantage he got, the distance between them;10 meters and a handgun.
He gentle pointed the gun to wolf head and leand towards gun, if he miss the shot, he'll sure die, he got only one chance but he's professional shooter, he has haunt many wolfs, deers, even bears, it's not new thing for him.
The dire wolf didn't made any move, as if wolf knew the tense too, both of them went slient and stand still, looking into each other souls, if wolf backs the hunter will shoot anyway, and if haunter back down the wolf will kill him, there's no room for back down.
A dire wolf and a hunter both of them know the risk, their life at risk, one of them will lose his body for sure today, the hunter depends at his handgun and the dire wolf depends at his paws and teeths. Most likely hunter win as he pulled the tigger many times in his life.
He's confident about it. But dire wolf still stare at him the same, he doesn't care about his life or he has help, the hunter heard a noise as something crushed leaves, a paw like, something like his enemy's kind.
Another dire wolf looking at both of them, if hunter shoots at one wolf then another one will attack and if he doesn't shoot still he'll die.
The dire wolf who's right in front of him, the one where he pointed his gun, he now confident, like kill me, try it. Taunting him to the pull the trigger through his eyes, the hunter knew the depth of the situation. The hunter said " It is what it is" And pulled the tigger.
