Yesterday marked my being back in the states for two weeks. What have I done since then? Well, I had held my first mediumship workshop last Saturday!! I heard back from several of the attendees that they really enjoyed it, learned a lot, and experienced a connection with Spirit that they did not know they could achieve so easily. Moreover, several inquired about the date of my next one 😊. So, I guess it was a success! (Side note: I’m thinking the second weekend in September, so be on the lookout in the next month for the event invite on my timeline).
After wrapping up the workshop, I had been thinking that this was the longest I’d been without writing something since getting into the habit of writing during my travels last month. And, as you know, Spirit likes to give me little swift kicks in the ass to get me going sometimes. Here was the latest reminder:
On Sunday night, I was headed into my bedroom to go to bed when I noticed a spider on the ceiling right outside my bedroom door. For those of you who don’t know, I have never been a fan of these 8 legged creatures. However, over the past year, I have come to respect them for their symbolism. For me, they would appear whenever I had a writing project that needed doing (like creating a new syllabus for a class or crafting an intricate fact pattern for a semester long writing assignment for my students). When this first started happening, I thought it was odd that I would notice a spider each day that I had this kind of work to do and then would stop appearing once the project was completed. So, I did some research last year and found that in the spiritual realm, spiders bring to your attention your creativity as they are remarkable figures of feminine energy and creativity that awaken creative sensibilities. They are the keepers of the primordial alphabet and can teach you how to write creatively!! Haha, of course…all makes sense! Now, going back to this past Sunday night...
When I saw the spider, I thanked her for the reminder (that I needed to get back to writing more), put her in a glass and relocated her outside (I can’t bring myself to kill them now that I understand that they came to help me 😣). The next night, believe it or not, when going to bed, there was another bigger spider, in the exact spot at the one from the night before. Again, I thanked this new one, put her in a glass and relocated her just like I did the last one. Tuesday night: no spider! I guess they were taking the holiday off and watching fireworks like all of us were 😁🤷♀️.
Now, Wednesday comes around, I go to church and at the end of service, I got a message from one of the message bearers: that I needed to write a book! (Sigh…) Since I had been writing it anyway, I took it to mean that I needed to keep in the habit of writing and putting out content on a regular basis like I was when I was traveling. When I got home from church: I found 3 spiders in different places around my house! DAMN…I heard you!! Geez! So, this is my commitment to do so! I just created an account on Medium and transferred all of my Bali travel posts to there. Moving forward, I’ll be posting links to it as I write pieces. Coincidentally, no more spiders now 😉.
I thought I’d share this experience with you to remind you to be open to notice how Spirit has been sending you signs of help and support in times of need. Do you see spiders, too, to help you with your creativity? Perhaps you see butterflies (signals transformation), bees (relates to your productivity levels), feathers (love and protection), or even coins or number sequences (check out my favorite site for finding the meanings of numbers patterns that I keep coming across: http://sacredscribesangelnumbers.blogspot.com/p/index-numbers.html)
Stay blessed and have a great weekend!
