Ironhack week 4 recap. Everything is on Rails.

Getting along with the Ruby on Rails framework. Spoiler: I’m in love.

I can’t believe that we’re already going to start the 5th week! In this 4th week, the one before the midway of the bootcamp, it’s been all about the Ruby on Rails framework. I don’t want to spoil you… but I think that I just fell in love with it.

With Andreas Finger, our teacher for this week, we started to dive into the huge set of tools that is Rails. I have to say I’m really surprised how natural its workflow is once you get used to it, and i’m starting to understand why a long list of web framework follow its design.

After a week on it, on Friday we had our weekly exercise, where we had to build a concerts forum website. I was amazed by how much I can do with Rails in just 6–8 hours. Probably, developing the same using, for example, the mean stack, would have taken 4 times longer. So, I’m a happy ruby developer this week :)

That’s pretty much everything for this week. Today I continued working on my new website (you will see it soon), and now it’s time to get ready for the next week: advanced javascript.

See you in a week!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
