The UF_Politics Seriousposting team received an image of a Greek house’s sticker board for the fall 2023 elections. The image shows two sheets of paper divided into boxes with names. Each box is filled with an “I Voted” sticker from the first day of elections.

The practice of sticker collection has been well-documented since 2017, when leaked screenshots from Kappa Alpha Theta exposed the message “NO STICKER = NO PARM.” The message exposed the practice of withholding food (chicken parmesan) from Theta sisters until they provided their “I Voted” sticker. However, the sticker boards themselves have never been viewed by the public until now.

More recently leaked screenshots exposed high-level Vision Party group chats engaging in sticker collection. The screenshots, leaked yesterday on YikYak, contain following messages from a higher-level member of Florida Blue Key:

Good afternoon everyone, hope your weekend is going well. My name is [] and I will be handling all things regarding chapter voting for this election cycle.

As you know, elections are this week, and it’s a big one. You have been chosen by your houses to be their representative for this election. They trust you, so I trust you.

With that being said, we will be all be meeting TONIGHT at Delta Tau Delta @8:00 to talk about your responsibilities this week.

This meeting is MANDATORY. If you cannot attend, your house will need to find a replacement for you and please have them contact me.

This meeting is super important. And again, it is MANDATORY. This goes without saying, but do not mention this chat or this message to anyone besides the member of your chapter you have been in contact with regarding this.

REMINDER: ELECTIONS START TMRW!! I will be sending texts in here for updates, remember, format is Name, Chapter, xx/xx. Appreciate all of your hard work!

SUPER IMPORTANT: please remind me your members to actually go vote, and to vote for all 37 off campus candidates, and please please please make sure they are not just grabbing stickers off the ground or from change kids handing them out. Need all of your help the next two days!”

The practice of sticker collection, voter coercion of Greek life, and wider student apathy is how the System party traditionally secures election. This year the System party, Vision Party, broke decades of precedent and redrew the maps to their advantage to secure another advantage after losing two elections in a row.
