Courtesy of UFC 205: Conor vs Alvarez the event is expected to be headlined by a UFC Lightweight Championship bout between current champion Eddie Alvarez and current UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor.

Chris Weidman and Yoel Romero will also collide in middleweight action. Reigning UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was loosely attached to the UFC 205 main event; however, some shenanigans behind the scenes (like this) put the kibosh on a “Notorious” return.

That doesn’t leave many options for an event that already includes a welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson, but I guess that’s what this guy was hired for. Stay tuned.
