Earworms — Episode 2 — Song Stuck In Your Head

Pieces Of Songs. On A Loop. In Your Head.

I need to get up and get going and Shake Dat. Ting. right on out the door if I’m going to get anything done today!

If you are unfamiliar with what an ‘earworm’ is, it’s a snippet of a song, usually just a couple of lines, that shows up uninvited and then your brain puts it on infinite loop.

This is the first of a series you should be on the lookout for here on Medium in which I will chronicle the many earworms that invade my brain, and share some information about the artist, the song itself, any memories I may have of the song, and maybe some history going on in the year the song was released.

Today is going to be hugely busy. There are last minute trips to several stores to be made. A shopping list that must be procured. We cannot locate our tray we use when we made a veggie tray, so I have to go find one of those, too.

I need to stop by my office to pick up something from there, as well.

Then a ton of food will get prepared and put in the fridge for a Christmas get together here at home that we are hosting tomorrow.
