This project is part of the Digital Talent Scholarship UI/UX Design batch 3 2022 organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in collaboration with Skilvul as a digital learning platform and Bank Jago is a challenge partner. I am not working or bound by a professional contract by Bank Jago.

Hello,
First, I want to let you know that the study I discussed was about UX regarding Jago Last Wish, where we were challenged to create a new feature of the Jago Bank application, namely insurance and digital wills.
In this case study, I used figma tools and collaborated with Irvan and Nur Alif.

About
Jago Last Wish is the introduction of features from Jago Bank related to insurance and wills. Bank Jago requires us to find a solution from this feature so that insurance and wasia become a product that is easier to use and less complicated.

The Challenge

So, how can we help users in making and claiming insurance easily and quickly

Scope

Overall progress ➔ 3 Months.

Tools

Ideate — Prototype ➔ Figma
User Testing ➔ Google Sheet, Zoom

Responsibilities are:

  • Identify pain points
  • Create solution ideas
  • Create a task flow
  • Create wireframes
  • Create a design system
  • Create UI Designs
  • Create Prototyping
  • User Testing

1-Design Process
In this case study, we choose to use design thinking as a challenge process approach to understand users, challenge assumptions, define problems, and create innovations for prototyping and testing.

“To create meaningful innovations, you need to know your users and care about their lives.” — Institute of Design at Stanford

2-Define

In this definition, we place ourselves as the user and determine the Pain Points that the user will perform.

Pain Points

After getting what the user’s Pain Points are, we make How Migth We, then we vote for what problem we were looking for before.

How-Might We

3-Ideate

At this ideate stage, we discussed and expressed Solution Ideas regarding How-Might We: how can we help users in making and claiming insurance easily and quickly.

Solution Idea

Next, we categorize the ideas that have been obtained into Affinity Diagrams, then Prioritization Ideas into several groups according to the user velue and effort matrix.

4-Prototype

At this prototype stage we created Crazy 8’s, designing a simple page display on paper that is divided into eight parts. Then when finished we vote for the display that will be made later.

Crazy 8's

Next up, we build the User Flow in achieving the goal. Here we try to provide the most effective and efficient way for users to make it easier to access.

From the User Flow created, it is continued by making a Wireframe regarding the existing problem.

Wireframe

After the wireframe process, we create a system design component to make it easier for us at the high fidelity stage. Build Design System is very helpful to help other UI Kit designers work efficiently.

UI Kit

The next stage of High Fidelity is the coloring process of the previous wireframe. Then applied to the component system design. Here is a screenshot of the UI that I created.

High Fidelity

After many drawings or wireframes have been created, we arrive with showcasing visual designs and app mockups. Taraa

5-Testing

User testing is the last part of the design thinking process that helps us validate ideas and previous work. We did the test by interviewing one of the users and making the appropriate questionnaire and meeting the intended criteria.
Create User Research Stimulus to then conduct In-Depth Interviews & Usability testing to users.

Conclusion
This project is my first project to create a UI/UX Design, I have mixed feelings of enthusiasm, joy and pride in running a skill project with Bank Jago’s partner challenge. I got a lot of knowledge and insight, especially regarding the workflow of insurance and wills that I had never known before.
The process I really enjoyed made this project very well and meticulously. At the testing stage to test the application that I made, I got a positive response from the user and hopefully in the future this can help good banks to develop this feature.
