This story dates back to ancient times when noble Ukrainian knights lived on the wide steppes and the Milky Way towered over the night sky. Zealous people have always appreciated the scent of freedom and the beauty of peace. They rejoiced in the picturesque nature which always gave them gifts. A new life appeared in love and harmony.
This island of freedom did not suit other people. Often evil forces tried to break their core. However, numerous declines and defeats did not prevent the preservation of their identity on this earth.
Brave Kozak went to the rescue of his people many times. Often risking his own life, he saved other lives. Worn out by regular disagreements, he began thinking more often about his fate. One day he decided to find the secret of eternal life. This would help preserve the memory of himself for hundreds of generations. Nothing else could threaten it.
But how to find out this secret? Who can tell? Only old molfars endowed with mystical powers could answer such questions. Therefore the Kozak decided to go on a long journey through Ukraine in search of such a sage. Traveling through the wide steppes, high mountains, and long sea coasts, the Kozak met magicians who showed unbelievable miracles, but none of them could answer his question. It was all in vain, no one could promise to keep history forever for any treasures.
One day, traveling in stormy weather, he came across an old abandoned house among the woods. Slowly opening the door, the Kozak realized that it was empty, but there were obvious signs of life. Strange books on the table, incomprehensible herbs, and animal remains. All this caused fear inside his soul. The gaze rushed to the window. The dark figure was staying outside.
Expressive eyes in the darkness stared intently at him. There was nowhere to run…
