At times when majority of people are running away from diesel cars, there are a number of bargains out there to be taken advantage of. If you drive over 20k miles annually, then diesel makes a lot of sense. The future of diesel cars is uncertain so it’s understandable not to invest too much money in a new diesel car. The good news is that you can pick up a used ULEZ compliant car at a fraction of a new diesel car price.

For example, you can buy a used Vauxhall Insignia 2016 diesel that has done 100k miles for under £6000. So even if you can drive it for 3 to 4 years, it is great value for money.

Car registered since September 2015 are Euro 6 compliant. However, a number of manufacturers produced cars that meet the Euro 6 Standards well before September 2015. Most people don’t know about these cars and only search for newer diesel cars when looking to buy a second hand car.
