Did you know that Prophet Mohamed Pbuh had a secret Scientific Research Center that specialized in Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, and Physics? At least this will be the only explanation an atheist will come up with by the end of this video if he insists on rejecting God altogether.

I will go through 18 miracles in the Quran in these fields, and then you decide if this information is from God or if the Prophet came up with it from his secret Research Center in the middle of the desert in the 7th century.

Formation of Clouds

In the 7th century, people had little understanding of how clouds formed. They observed that rain came from clouds but didn’t grasp the complexities involved. For example, in the Bible, Job 26:8 states: “He wraps up the waters in His clouds, And the cloud does not burst under them.” Early interpretations likened clouds to bags or balloons filled with water, poised to burst open.

Contrastingly, the Quran offers a more nuanced description: “Can’t you see that Allah causes pieces of cloud to join together then He causes them to pile up into big masses, and then you see rain coming from them?” (24:43). This verse, translated from Tafsir Al-Saadi, indicates that clouds are not mere bags of water but formations of many smaller cloud pieces that pile up.

Modern science aligns with this Quranic view. According to National Geographic, clouds are formed by tiny water droplets or ice crystals that cluster together, creating the fluffy formations we see. These cloud droplets are much smaller than raindrops and amass while floating, mixing with air to form the clouds. This understanding was clearly not derived from 7th-century knowledge but seems to reflect an insight beyond the era.

Shape of Clouds

Another intriguing revelation about clouds is found in the same verse (24:43): “And He sends down from the sky mountains loaded with hail pouring it on whoever He wills and averting it from whoever He wills.” Allah describes clouds using the word “mountains.” This description was puzzling to early Muslims until the advent of modern aviation allowed us to see clouds from above.

We now know that cumulonimbus clouds, which are capable of producing rain, hail, and tornadoes, can indeed resemble mountains or towers. These clouds can grow to heights of 15–18 kilometers. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) could not have known this without divine revelation. The Quran’s depiction aligns with our current understanding, showing that these massive clouds can hold large amounts of precipitation.

Heavy Clouds

The Quran further details the nature of clouds in Surat Al-A’raf: “He is the One who causes the wind to carry heavy clouds” (7:57), and in Surat Ar-Ra’d: “He is the one who creates the heavy clouds” (13:12). While clouds appear light and fluffy, like cotton candy, modern science reveals their surprising weight. The average cumulus cloud weighs approximately 1.1 million pounds — equivalent to the weight of about 100 elephants. This scientific fact, which took centuries to uncover, aligns with the Quran’s description of clouds as “heavy.”

Formation of Rain

Historically, it was believed that clouds were like bags holding water, which would burst open to release rain. However, the Quran provides a different perspective in Surat An-Nour: “He sends down the mountains (i.e., the clouds)” (24:43). This verse suggests that the cloud itself is sent down as rain, not as a container holding rain. Modern science confirms that clouds and rain are part of the same process in the water cycle, where water vapor condenses to form clouds, which then precipitate as rain. This accurate depiction in the Quran predates our contemporary understanding by centuries.

Lightning Movement

High-speed cameras have recently allowed scientists to observe the detailed movement of lightning, which occurs too quickly for the naked eye to see. Lightning moves in a series of steps, both downward and upward. According to the NSSL and NOAA, cloud-to-ground lightning comes from the sky down, but the part visible to us actually comes from the ground up.

An authentic hadith states: “Thunder comes down then back up again in a blink of an eye.” This description remarkably aligns with modern scientific observations, showing that lightning moves downwards first and then upwards. This level of detail about a natural phenomenon would have been impossible for anyone to know in the 7th century without advanced technology.

Morning Breathing

Modern science has uncovered a phenomenon known as “morning breathing.” After sunrise, the Earth’s surface heats up, causing the air near the ground to warm and rise while cooler air descends. This process helps replace polluted air near the surface with fresher air from higher altitudes, essentially “breathing” in fresh air.

The Quran describes this phenomenon in Surat At-Takwir: “I swear by the night when it goes away, and by the morning when it breathes.” (81:17–18). The description of the morning as “breathing” parallels our current understanding of air circulation after sunrise. Such a precise metaphor would have been inconceivable without modern meteorological knowledge.

These scientific insights in the Quran challenge us to consider how Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) could have known these facts. The accuracy of these descriptions suggests a source of knowledge beyond the 7th century, reinforcing the belief that the Quran is indeed the word of Allah. It does not take much effort for a sincere person to find the truth about God.
