Thanks for your comments. I am not any variation of Libertarian. Probably is best to leave my political stands for another discussion.

I didn’t intend to explain myself in more details in the above text so, considering your comments, further clarification might help.

Your response, following the metaphor of the film the Matrix would be the reaction of the train man in the film.

The train man has a vested interest in setting very clear to Neo the rules of the game down in Limbo. The train man built that world, he is God in the Kingdom of Limbo. He knows what Neo wants and he won’t allow Neo to get there even when it was inevitable he would get there, to the Merovingian.

The analogy here with Peterson is a twisted one. If you insisted that Peterson is a right winger against his best efforts to deny it, you are acting like the train man owning Peterson’s true destination because you believe to own and be King of the world of interpretation you have created inside the Limbo Peterson has fallen into.

Like the train man, you know that Peterson only destination is towards the political right because in the world that you have built for him, there is not other way out.

Thus, I am not saying Peterson has an escape route away from the political right. The reality is that he is not the Merovingian, he is not the Architect and he is not definitely Neo, and yet, he is still trapped in a political Limbo in which every of his moves keep pointing to the right but never arriving to such destination as if some part of the political right had an exclusively designated Limbo place not less than the political left.

Keep this in mind, the Merovingian used to be like Neo, in the words of Persephone, his wife. The Merovingian deviated. I don’t think Peterson has deviated. Like Neo kissing Persephone he is just sampling elements from the right.

My idea of a Limbo place for politics wouldn’t only apply to Peterson, but to many of the political position we are witnessing today, as much from the right as from the left. It all points at the fact that the concepts of left and right are no longer very effective at describing with accuracy our political realities.

Neo would have never left the train station until the key maker came to him to offer choices far beyond the Merovingian’s. The Merovingian, in fact, offered nothing. It was Persephone who lead him to the key maker.

The political right had nothing to offer to Peterson no matter how much he continues to toy with it.

If Peterson failed to meet his own key maker he and his ideas will finally get reduced by him and others to mere old conservative truisms.

Such outcome wouldn’t say much about good political forecasting. Many people are today resisting and others celebrating being the train man in a world we didn’t build but we are always ready to own.
