Ten years ago I began working on a book which tells the story of my recovery from a near-death experience. As you might imagine, a near-death experience changes you in unpredictable ways. Some people arrive on the other side of trauma seemingly unaffected. They bounce back fast, the trauma safely contained and firmly left in the past.
