The Surgical Technology program prepares tudents to work in an operating room environment by combining classroom and simulated laboratory instruction with real-world surgical medical experiments. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates can take the national certification exam to become a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). Students may submit official transcripts of coursework and apply for consideration for early placement hospital surgical tech programs.

The program does not offer credit for experimental learning. Choose from Applied Science Associates, usually a 2-year program. Click the links below for program information, fees, average earnings, placement rates and other program information. Students will not receive any compensation from WSU Tech or Clinical Affiliate as a condition of participation in SGT119 Clinical I and SGT129 Clinical II. Students assist doctors during surgery, but they will never replace members of a medical facility.
