From no-one to an #EnergyEfficiency “Evangelist”
I was in Banaglore (Bengaluru) earlier this week attending the #ShellE4 Energy Entrepreurship Conference at the awesome Shell Technology Centre! First things first, must acknoweldge that the #ShellE4 team did an awesome job to put up a great event and all the 5 startups were fabulous.
While i wanted to catch up with the #ShellE4 team, it was also great to meet up with some of the older connects from the #Energy markets and indeed make some new ones!
Three things i picked up from interactions i had at the event and from Bangalore trip in general!
Survive: Sometimes its good to be just surviving (nothing comes close to be cruising ahead). You are always in the “Game” as long as you are playing. Don’t quit.
Keep Pivoting: The only thing that remains constant is your passion for what you are doing and the clarity on what you want to achieve (not the same as getting emotionally attached to a “Idea”). Keep making changes, be coachable (yeah, i’ve finally understood the value of it) and don’t be afraid to try new things. You don’t need millions of dollars (not taking a shot at anyone, but ourselves) to innovate!
Express: It’s important and imperative to express, let the world know about your ideas (which are always orginal). You have nothing to loose (in case if no one was listening to you) but you have a lot to achieve.
I was surprised when Shyam from Infuse Ventures greeted me by saying “…#EnergyEfficiency evangelist” and Daniel from ADB “…future energy leader”. (I am an optimist, choose to take it as compliment)
