Don’t Waste Your Singleness
Singleness is scary. It’s a time where we as people feel alone and don’t have any significant other to talk to. We all want a relationship with someone, no matter if you want to admit it or not. But people let me tell you something, do not waste your singleness.
So many times I’ve seen people (including myself) waste their singleness by dating people for no purpose whatsoever. We are so desperate for love that we’re turn to anyone, and forget about Jesus in the process. We are willing to settle just so we can not be "single".
This is something that isn’t what we should do. If you’re a girl, please wait for that guy to pursue you. Wait for him to come after you, and make sure He’s lost in God while he’s pursuing you. If you’re a guy, get so lost in God and don’t focus on not having someone in this season. Wait until God gives you the signal to pursue the right person, and He’ll lead you to the right direction.
For both guys and girls, just wait for God. Yes, keep writing your letters to your future spouse, keep on daydreaming about your future. None of this is wrong, but allow this stage of singleness to grow you into whom your future spouse and God needs you to be. Focusing on Christ is the key in life, let Him lead you to the relationship He wants you to have. Do His work for Him, and keep Him first.
