The internet is awash with buzz about the iPhone 6 dummy body. This device is essentially a prototype that case manufacturers utilise to shape their iPhone 6 cases ahead of its official release. The iPhone 6 dummy is based on what we know from whispers and speculations about the anticipated next-generation iPhone.

Three key characteristics could potentially shape the next iPhone. These include the device’s rounded edges, larger display with slightly bigger bezels, and its notable thinness. The rounded edges are a noticeable departure from the design of iPhones since the 4th generation; this feature exudes the touch of the iPhone 3GS and has a vibe similar to the HTC One M8.

Another focal point is the iPhone 6 dummy’s display size. Reports suggest that the iPhone 6 will be the largest Apple has ever produced. The dummy brandishes a 4.7-inch display with whisperings of a 1704 x 960 resolution, making it noticeably taller and wider than the iPhone 5s’s 4-inch display. However, the large bezels reduce its aesthetic appeal slightly when compared to popular Android phones like the Moto X.

Finally, where the iPhone 6 dummy does not supersize is in its thickness. This extremely thin device is rumoured to be about 6 millimetres thin, encased in a stylish metal unibody design. It leaves us wondering how Apple will manage to fit in a decent battery without compromising the device’s expected svelte nature, considering the impressive yet thin form factor of its predecessors. A pre-production iPhone 6 case measuring just 6 millimeters thick fits the iPhone 6 Dummy snuggly, fuelling further curiosity.

Are you curious about how well-built and incredibly impressive the iPhone 6 is? The iconic switch hasn’t changed, and the handset maintains its thinness, resembling the iPod touch. Few other phones on the market today match the six-millimetre thickness of this device, underlining the extraordinary craftsmanship of the iPhone 6.

Minor yet significant changes to the iPhone’s aesthetics involve the relocation of the power button to the side of the phone. This modification makes the button easier to reach, especially considering the increased dimensions of the phone. However, aside from this, not many other significant aesthetic changes have been made to the iPhone 6 prototype.

While the aesthetics of this new iPhone may not be exciting for everyone, Apple may have other surprises in store. Perhaps some innovative new features or hardware enhancements will be included in the final product. But for now, this prototype gives us the clearest glimpse of what we can expect from the upcoming iPhone 6.

The most fascinating aspect of this phone is probably not the device itself, but people’s reactions to it. Would you purchase a larger iPhone with a 4.7-inch display? Would you be swayed by the look of the final design, or do you think it is more important how the phone performs when switched on?

We’d like to remind you about a great video by the YouTuber called ‘Your Average Consumer’, who showed the iPhone 6 dummy to random people asking if they would buy it. Check out this video for an array of intriguing responses. You can find the link to the video below the like button.
