The Keys to Destroying Procrastination
The Winter season is nearing, and this is the best time to turn over a new leaf in your life. Anything that you want to get started on that you have been putting off can be started today! Why wait any longer? Like a wise-man once said (my grandfather)…
There is no time like the present.
What have you been putting off? What have you been truly procrastinating on doing in your life? There are plenty of things that we all procrastinate with. One of the reasons why we procrastinate on taking the first step to doing something new in our lives is out of pure fear. To embark on a new path in your life by taking that first step can be a scary thing for anyone.
Never be afraid to take the first step.
Another reason why we all procrastinate is due to negative feedback from our peers. It might sound brash, but it is much better to cut out all deadweight of your life as soon as you can. When you hold onto those around you that are holding you back from achieving anything in your life, you will never prosper. The best thing to do when you have a peer group of doubters is to…
Charge it to the game!
What the term, “Charge it to the game” means is to cut off all deadweight. When you have a bunch of people in your life that are not rooting for you, but are rooting against you, you have to charge that situation to the game. Between having fear to take the first step and staying in the company of doubters, these are the two main reasons why most people will never achieve their goals in life.
A written-down plan is the first step to achieving any goal in your life.
The first step to change in your life is by writing down your goals, then implementing a system that will help you obtain every single step to your major goal. Champion all of your small victories. Keep a core group of peers around that help and encourage you to achieve your goals. Charge the nay-sayers to the game. Every day you wake up is a new opportunity to hit the “reset” button. No matter what position you are in your life right now, you can achieve any goals you have by taking the first step (writing a plan of attack) & cutting off the nay-sayers. Every single day can be used as a small victory to help you obtain whatever it is you want to achieve in your life.
Every day you wake up is a new opportunity to hit the “reset” button.
