I ended up firing up incognito mode for half of the web whenever it presents me with a full-screen content blocker. I agree with their terms, scan the article and close the incognito window. Dozen times a day. :/ GDPR’s hope that I’ll sign an informed contract with every damn site I visit for couple seconds is naive at best.

As for the notifications permission… it showed that an unsurprising number of sites want to have a way to push news to readers even when they’re not on their site. If only there was some kind of a standard and Reader to check new articles on sites. :P
But joking aside, more and more permissions will probably have to be conditioned with some level of engagement with the origin. Similarly to how the “add to home screen” works now.
