UI/UX GUIDELINE

Mobile devices and laptops come in all sort of sizes and therefore it is important to have a font size that is legible on different screen sizes. The text needs to be big enough to read without pinching to zoom but at the same time it should not be that big that users need to scroll forever to read all the content. Make sure to highlight and keep the text bigger of the content you want the users to go through on first glance.

Here is a list of Font sizes for different content on different platforms which will help you understand the basic and overall used font size.

Desktop

  • Smallest Text — 12px
  • Detail Text — 14px
  • Body Text — 16/18px
  • Subtitle — 18px
  • Title Text — 24/28px
  • Main Text — 32/38/42px
  • Display Text — 60/72/80px

Android

  • Smallest Text — 12px
  • Paragraph Text — 14px
  • Body Text — 16px
  • Text Input— 16px
  • Title Text — 20/22px

IOS

  • Action Bar — 10px
  • Tertiary Text — 13px
  • Secondary Text — 15px
  • Title Text — 17px
  • Form Control — 17px
