RNPA Strike Vote Schedule

RNPA’s negotiations with Santa Clara County have reached a stalemate: our demands for competitive wages, hours, and working conditions have not been met. The County’s current offer still fails to account for costs of living in the Bay Area, and leaves us short-changed, especially compared to other local hospitals.

We are not backing down.

You’ve gotten the contract to where it is today by standing with us at rallies, showing up every week for T-shirt Tuesdays, attending strike team trainings, and turning out in unprecedented numbers for Strike School. Now, more than ever, we need to show up stronger together to authorize a strike vote, if conditions at the bargaining table demand it.

RNPA showed that we are united and determined to get a contract we deserve in Week One of our strike vote. Within the first four days over 1,000 nurses voted. Nurses from our Custody Health received training and authorization to run votes within their facilities. Our office received numerous requests and suggestions from nurses to broaden their access and ability to vote and your elected nurse leadership has heard you. So, in addition to more hours of stationary polls; we will introduce the RNPA Strike Vote Wagon (SVW) aka: “Strike-Mobile” during the second week. Be sure to look out for it in your areas.

A detailed list of locations and times for the second week is below.
