tw: trigger warning
Trigger warning:
This is a trigger warning for people who are triggered by trigger warnings.
People who have steeped themselves in rampant conservatism may find themselves triggered by this trigger warning.
People who have never personally experienced rape or other physical or psychological trauma may be triggered by this trigger warning.
People who have such secure privilege they never even realize that, by default, the entire world is organized as a safe space for them, in which they can freely express their opinions, no matter how racist or sexist, and are thus able to remain uncomprehending of why some other people seek out safe spaces, may find themselves triggered by this trigger warning.
People who refuse to listen to the voices of survivors,
people who have never experienced post-traumatic stress disorder,
people who believe that their opinion about hypothetical oppression matters more than the opinions of people who directly experience racism, sexism, transphobia, or other forms of oppression,
people who just want to be able to say what’s on their minds all the time, at any time, without any regard for its impact on other people,
may have already been triggered by this trigger warning.
And for that, I do not apologize.
