Affirmation for Strong Black Women

Sometimes life can feel so overwhelming because people expect so much from us. There is nothing wrong with wanting to help to the people you love. But you have to be strong enough to recognize that you can’t do it all. And that is OK. Know that all you can do is give your best and people will have to accept that. What you shouldn’t do is pour into everyone and leave yourself empty.

I am enough.

I am allowed to say no to everyone else, and yes to me and my wants and needs sometimes.

It is OK for me to cry.

Asking for help doesn’t mean I am weak and incompetent.

I let go of my need to fix the world’s problems.

I let go of my need to be the superwoman in the story.

I am an amazing human being but I must also admit when I am falling weak.
